Timber Court

CONCEPT

Rather than compete with the existing house, Timber Court sits slightly apart from it, connected by a covered walk. Reclaimed hardwood cladding wraps a new studio and guest volume, lifted on a board-formed concrete plinth that absorbs the site's one-metre fall. The gap between old and new becomes the project's primary outdoor room.
